Abstract: When I was three years old my parents decided to migrate to the U.S. Because of available job opportunities my parents decided to settle down in San Diego, where I have lived the majority of my life. Even though my parents worked in the fields, due to lack of education, they always encouraged my brothers and I to do well in school. We were not well off economically at that time, but my parents always attempted to give my siblings and I the best opportunities they could.
Over the years my parents strived to give our family the best life possible and also attempt to give us a better opportunity to go to college. My parents encouraged us to feel passionate about education because they felt that would allow us to have better opportunities in the future. Because of my parents' encouragement my siblings and I attend a four year university.
